Work morning tea ideas, from a year of real orders.
Someone has asked you to sort out morning tea. Before you scroll through fifty ideas, here is what offices in and around Parramatta actually ordered from us over the last twelve months, and a simple way to put a spread together in a few minutes.

What offices order most

This is the pattern behind most of the orders above. It works for a team of eight or a floor of fifty.
Start with an assortment
Order an EASY assortment for your headcount and the variety is chosen for you. On the morning tea assortment, a standard serve is two items per person.
Add fruit
Allow one fruit platter for every 15 or so people. It balances the pastries and gives nearly everyone something they can eat.
Add one savoury thing
Mini quiches, a savoury platter or cheese. About a quarter of morning tea orders do this, and it helps anyone who skipped breakfast.
Cover the dietaries
Add individually packed items for guests with a requirement, so theirs stays separate and clearly theirs.
Nine in ten orders choose standard servings, and that suits a normal meeting. Go generous when the session runs long, starts early, or morning tea is standing in for a meal. There is more on this in how to estimate the right quantity of food.
How much will your morning tea cost?
Enter your headcount and the calculator prices the assortment, fruit and, if you like, a cheese platter and plates, from today’s menu.

Individually packed, clearly labelled
When someone in the room has a dietary requirement, a sealed item of their own is simpler than working out what they can take from a shared platter. Not sure what everyone needs? DietSync collects it from your guests for you, free.
Paleo Snack Box
A paleo slice, a protein ball and a fruit salad, individually packaged. Vegan, gluten free and dairy free.

Only 6% of morning tea orders include drinks. If your kitchen can’t cover it, these are the usual additions.
Coffee and tea
Freshly brewed coffee and a selection of teas in air-pots, with milk, sugar and cups, for 20 to 35 people. For bigger groups, there is a coffee machine rental. We collect the equipment afterwards.

Easy to forget and hard to find at 10:25am. Add them to the order and they arrive with the food.
Add plates and serviettesFive morning tea mistakes, and the easy fix for each
- 1Ordering for the invite list, not the room. Count the people who will actually be there on the day.
- 2Forgetting plates and serviettes. They are one extra item at checkout, so tick them off when you order.
- 3Nothing for the gluten free or vegan guest. Add an individually packed item for each person with a requirement.
- 4Food arriving as the meeting starts. Choose a delivery window that finishes at least half an hour before morning tea.
- 5Leaving it out all day. Chilled food should go back in the fridge within 2 hours of coming out. The NSW Food Authority explains the 2-hour/4-hour rule.

About the numbers. Figures come from every order placed with White Henry between 1 October 2025 and 29 September 2026. Each percentage is the share of orders that included that item. “Morning and afternoon tea orders” means the orders that included an item from our morning or afternoon tea range. No customer is identified.
